Sheng Huat Bak Kut Teh @ Jinjang Utara

If you happened to be in Jinjang or Kepong area, you should not miss this restaurant that serve tasty Bak Kut Teh. Sheng Huat Bak Kut Teh is well known for its multilayered pork intestine and tua kut (front portion of the hock).

如果你刚好在Jinjang (增江)or Kepong(甲洞)附近,那你就不能错过这里闻名的肉骨茶。成发肉骨茶出名在于它们的猪肠和大骨。

Sheng Huat operates in the day and night with two different owners. We went for the night session which operate from 2130 to midnight. As recommended, we ordered their tua kut, multilayered intestine and pork belly too.

成发肉骨茶分别由两位不同的店家在早市和夜市营业。夜市是从晚上九点半营业直到凌晨,小编一行人选择了夜市,并且点叫了它们出名的猪肠,大骨和五花肉。

The Bak Kut Teh here has a clearer version of soup and strong fragrance of herbs as compared to the Kajang‘s which has a thicker version of soup. The meats are serve in a rather small pot which I reckon that they want to minimize the volume of soup that they serve to the customers.

这里的肉骨茶有着清澈的汤头和浓厚的药材香味,而加影(Kajang)的汤头则偏向稠一点。这里的肉骨茶盛装相对来说有点小的砂锅,小编估计店家可能是为了节约汤汁。

Tua kut is served with a large portion of fats on the skin and tender meat beneath the fatty parts. It taste rather normal to me. I would still prefer the pork belly. Their highlight; multilayered intestine is something that I would recommend to you all. The thick and juicy pork intestine is something that you can rarely find out there. Definitely worth the try.

大骨的皮里有着大量的脂肪胶原蛋白质和皮下则有着细嫩的肉。对于小编来说,还是比较喜欢五花肉。而它们家的猪肠是一大亮点,厚实又多汁,小编强烈推荐大家可以尝一尝。

Tips from 食 La Vie; we recommend you to reach there around 2055 to 2105 as you can sit and order first while waiting for the owner to prepare. If you arrived at the restaurant at 2130, you would probably need to wait for car parks and also seats as the crowd will be swarming the restaurant. The restaurant only serve meat and taufu. They do not have any greens nor you tiao. The auntie who takes orders is a very impatient woman please be careful when you are placing your order because we heard that she told the customer “if you want order vegetable please go to the next store”, arrogantly.

食 La Vie贴士,小编建议大家大概可以在9pm到来,当店家在准备的时候,你可以先坐下和点叫。因为如果你在9.30pm到的话,已经人山人海并且停车位也很难找。店家只提供肉类和豆腐,并没有任何蔬菜和油条。点餐的阿姨十分没有耐心,请大家小心点餐因为小编听到她说,“如果你想吃蔬菜,可以去隔壁家”,不是开玩笑。

One last thing that we have noticed, first batch of soup that comes along with your meat is the ‘golden soup‘ or AKA the thick and rich flavored version of the soup. Subsequently, when you request to add on soup (which is FOC), they will add on diluted soup which taste pretty much like water. The diluted soup is from their second pot, not from their ‘golden pot‘.

最后,小编也发现,第一次上桌的汤头是“精华”,当你选择加汤的时候,味道就“走味”了。
